Designed for Australian Defence Force personnel and veterans, first responders, and injured workers living with trauma; our online program helps participants learn how to train rescue dogs while building social connections and self-confidence.
Our participants have seen improvements in psychological wellbeing, life management skills, and an increased sense of connection with themselves, their family, and the broader community.
In this one-year course, participants work through four levels and will focus on building foundational dog training skills such as mark and reward, scent games, and marking positive behaviour.
Skills learnt during the program allow participants to work confidently with shelter animals on their recovery journey, creating positive associations with people and places, to set them up for adoption success.
