Program Trainer

HPHH Hobart, TAS

Would you like to make a genuine difference to people and rescue animals? Do you excel in connecting with a diverse range of people and animals? If this sounds like you, this role with Happy Paws Happy Hearts will be a ‘paw-fect’ fit. 

Based between sites in New Town and Risdon Vale, you will build rapport, trust, and relationships with both the people and animals we work with.  You will have the opportunity to support a new initiative with the Dogs' Homes of Tasmania, where we are in the early stages of trialling a program. While the primary focus will be on working at the cats' facility initially, this role will also be instrumental in deliver training and support activities at the Dogs' Homes. This evolving program aims to add value to shelter operations by working with shelter dogs and enhancing the experiences of both participants and animals. We hope to see this initiative grow and continue to build over time.

Our team have a passion for pets of all shapes and sizes, and through the training and rehabilitation of animals your role is to be the glue that brings participants and animals together, providing the information, support and skills they need to succeed. We call this the ‘magic’!

Program Trainer - Part Time

Mackay, QLD

Do you have experience in training or facilitation and want to infuse your unique skills and background to foster connections between people and shelter animals?

This is a unique role where hearts and paws come together to make a difference to the lives of vulnerable people and animals in training.

Through a special partnership with RSPCA Mackay, we host our programs at their Animal Care Campus, where participants connect with, train, and socialise with shelter animals in need of love and attention – a unique approach that fosters skill-building and confidence for both participants and animals. 

You'll be working with an organisation dedicated to bringing people and animals together to foster hope, connection and change. Our program trainers come from all walks of life with diverse backgrounds where each is celebrated. Your unique experience and journey will bring a special flavour to our curated programs, your own experience working with people in your day-to-day facilitation and ultimately, add value to HPHH’s social impact journey. 

Enrolment Officer

HPHH Wacol, Qld

Are you filled with enthusiasm for helping socially isolated people and animals? Keen to use your commercial skills to support our ambitious growth plan in multiple locations across Australia?

We are currently seeking a highly motivated Enrolment Officer to become an integral part of our Commercial team. Having a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills and a passion for people and animals will contribute greatly to your success in this role.

If you want to be part of a dedicated and supportive environment, where you can help paws and hearts, this is the job for you. 

Although based in Brisbane, this role supports the onboarding of participants across all current, and emerging HPHH locations across Australia. This is a part-time position, 0.6 FTE 3 days per week. We are open to which days per week you would like to work.  

Expression of Interest - Program Trainers

Program Trainer

Happy Paws Happy Hearts (HPHH) are seeking Program Trainers across a number of our locations in Australia to be the glue which brings socially isolated people together with rescue animals. You will work closely with the RSPCA/animal shelters, creating meaningful connections between participants and animals. With your facilitation/training experience, you will deliver our suite of programs in an engaging fashion and support our participants to achieve their individual goals.

At HPHH we work with a diverse range of people from those living with a disability on the NDIS, to veterans, injured workers and first responders, youth justice and those on a journey to change their mental health.

This is a fast pace roll which includes program facilitation, animal training and administrative activities - no one day will be the same and you will leave each day with your cup filled. It is a hands-on active role and can be physical in requiring energy and enthusiasm to engage the class but also retrieve animals from the shelter campus’.

This is not a traditional training role however you will contribute to positive psychosocial, independence and vocational outcomes for our diverse group of participants, and the wellbeing and experience of the shelter animals in care which we work with.
