Introducing Juliana, Program Trainer at Ten Lives Cat Centre, Hobart!

We are excited to introduce Juliana, one of our amazing Program Trainers in in our Hobart location at @Ten Lives Cat Centre!

Juliana has extensive experience facilitating group sessions as a university lecturer and has provided one-on-one case management in both child and adult community services.

Juliana is a fearsome feline lover, with her favourite animals being lion cubs, cheetahs and lynxes – so she is very excited to be joining the Ten Lives shelter as her happy place!

Juliana joined Happy Paws Happy Hearts late-last year and began holding sessions independently this new year. We are grateful to share some of her experiences in our Programs at Ten Lives Cat Centre to date:

“Every day is different at work, there’s always a dear new furry friend to introduce to the groups, and their enthusiasm levels are completely contagious! Our participants are animal-lovers and soak up all the learning which then is demonstrated in their calm, kind and mindful interactions with the cats and kittens. It really is magical!”, Juliana said.

Juliana also mentioned her excitement at joining such a unique program such as Happy Paws Happy Hearts.

“There’s nothing else like this program in Hobart. Participants get an opportunity to contribute to the enrichment of shelter animals, and in turn, our animal friends give us so many gifts: laughter, shared peer experience, nervous system regulation from all the snuggles and boops”, she said.

In just a few short months, Juliana has already observed remarkable progress in participants’ confidence and the peer relationships forming within the groups, attributing much of this growth to the calming effect of interacting with the cats and kittens.

Thanks to our invaluable partnership with Ten Lives Cat Centre, we can foster a nurturing space where participants can thrive socially, emotionally and personally, all while making a meaningful impact on the shelter animals they care for.

We are excited to officially introduce you to Juliana and can’t wait to share more moments of joy and meaningful connections through Juliana’s program delivery.
